The Challenge

Rochester Medical engaged Trendex to design and produce a “conversation piece” that reps could easily present in doctors’ offices, trade shows and even office hallways. “It needed to be lightweight, durable and discreet. We had an initial idea, but then Trendex took it to the next level with things we hadn’t thought of,” explained Marketing Manager Brian Olson.

The Solution

Evolving from ad-hoc presentations where catheters and literature were transported in clear zipper-seal bags, the kit provided Rochester Medical, “a professional, consistent presentation, whether done by a rep in California or New York. It’s an attractive piece, one they’re proud to carry,” summarized Olson.

About the Product

When the subject is urinary catheters, every degree of comfort counts. The best way for Rochester Medical to demonstrate the superiority of their exclusive, Magic3® silicone product was to deliver a hands-on demonstration of the material vis-à-vis its competitors. “For many intermittent catheter users, PVC is too hard and latex is too soft. Silicone is the perfect middle ground,” said Olson. “We needed a tangible tool to showcase the material.”

The finished presentation featured:

• Blind-debossed, turned-edge cover in a soft,
leather-like material
• Die-cut foam insert to display materials, plus
interior storage compartment
• Presentation easel back to facilitate hands-free
