The Challenge

The Family Housing Fund, a nonprofit dedicated to affordable housing, was looking to create a way to teach families about financial literacy. Most previous solutions were not engaging to people. They thought that a game would help break down the information and make it fun.

The Solution

Together with their agency, MOD, the Family Housing Fund partnered with Trendex to create the whole package including a game board, case, die-cut foam and spiral bound book. Now, when people need to learn about personal finance they can do so with an interactive board game.  Britt Lunderberg of Mod said, “There were a lot of details in this project but Trendex paid attention to every one of them. There was no doubt in my mind that this product would come out how we wanted it to.”

About the Product

The Family Housing Fund game included:

  • Bi-fold case with magnetic closing flap
  • Four Color Process printed liner with matte laminate
  • Quarter-fold gameboard and card box
  • Black carry handle
