Spec-Rite Designs offers an incredibly broad range of products, including furniture, cabinets, worktops, wall systems and phenolic lockers. But they were struggling to effectively and affordably convey this breadth to customers. If a customer requested information, Spec-Rite would create multiple mailings of product literature and material samples. With increasing shipping costs, and as a business committed to eco-friendly practices, it was time for a new strategy
Solution
Spec-Rite partnered with Trendex to consolidate the multi-part mailing into a single kit. Replacing some of the brochures and spec sheets with digital media made it feasible to supply a wealth of product facts at a substantially decreased cost.

When your customers live and breathe sustainability, it’s not adequate to say you are sustainable…you need to show it. Cold Spring Granite, the top U.S. quarrier and fabricator of natural stone, had plastic sample books that were sending customers the wrong message.
Cold Spring Granite needed a more eco-friendly presentation. And they needed the new solution soon, to satisfy customer demand.
Solution
Cold Spring Granite and their marketing agency, Larsen, partnered with Trendex. The goal: Create a presentation that better reflects the company’s commitment to sustainability. Trendex worked the goal of staying green into every aspect of production.
Not only does the new kit use sustainable materials, it’s also 100% recyclable. And Trendex turned the project around quickly, delivering the first phase of the order within one month.

Challenge
Every year, The Mosaic Company, a leading producer of crop nutrients, hosts an invitation-only education seminar for a select group of their top customers. Knowing that their audience didn't care to be weighed down with a stack of conference handouts, Mosaic partnered with Trendex to create a single, compact resource.
Solution
Trendex designed a highly branded presentation that contained everything The Mosaic Company wanted to communicate to their clients. Yet it was small enough to tuck into a briefcase. And with the in-house digital print capabilities Trendex offers, the project's relatively small run was no problem.

Challenge
St. Cloud Window manufactures specialty windows and doors. In spite of their outstanding product offerings, their sales materials were getting lost amongst the literally hundreds of competing sales materials. They needed presentation pieces that commanded attention, and reflected the high quality of the products.
Solution
Combining St. Cloud Window's vision and Trendex's expertise in developing premium presentation kits, the companies worked closely to design a custom sales tool.
St. Cloud Window also decided to offer customers the option to receive product information on a compact flash drive instead of the full printed portfolio. This smaller kit aligns with the industry trend of eco-conscious building design. Because the flash drive kit was completely new, Trendex created several different insert prototypes before arriving at the best combination of secure grip and easy removal of the flash drive.

Challenge
Uroplasty, a medical device manufacturer, needed a cohesive training and support piece for one of their key products. The kit had to function both as a sales training tool and an ongoing reference for healthcare professionals. The turnaround time was critical, as they were hoping to launch soon.
Solution
Trendex and Uroplasty first considered using a standard pocket binder, but soon realized it was possible to create a more professional and branded look—while not spending much more—with a custom-printed binder.
To maximize efficiency, the project utilized three distinct printing processes at Trendex: a full-size, four-color press for the binder, a smaller offset press for tabs, and digital printing with auto-collation for the interior pages.
The project was completed on time. According to Rebecca Anderson, the Marketing Communications Manager at Uroplasty, the response from both customers and sales representatives has been "tremendous." In fact, the project's success has led another Uroplasty group to pursue a similar initiative with Trendex.

The Boston Beer Company was looking for a binder presentation that would highlight their most celebrated product: Samuel Adams beer.
Solution
Boston Beer teamed up with Trendex/Compton to create a confidential 2007 Brand Plan binder. The binder not only looked great, it also had the impact the Boston Beer Company was hoping to create.

Challenge
Faction Media needed to create a high-profile presentation their client, Avaya. But they only wanted 20 copies—a very limited print run. They needed a partner capable of handling this high-profile, small-run project. In addition, they were on a tight timeline.
Solution
The print run was to be small, but the impact had to be big. Trendex worked closely with Faction Media to provide recommendations on design, paper stock and cover material. Then, working within the customer's tight schedule, Trendex handled all production in-house—printing, finishing and assembly—before shipping the completed presentations directly to Avaya.
Both Faction Media and Avaya were pleased with the finished piece. It satisfied their needs for a high-impact piece created affordably and quickly.
